Westfall-Brohuus

A brand new duo with Anders Westfall (guitar) and Ulrik Brohuus (drums), experimenting in time and space with originals and the American Songbook. They are seeking to create a full sound even though they are only guitar and drums, using loops-on-the-spot and crystal clear arrangements.

They have been playing together since high school and have been playing hundreds of concerts together, so they know how to communicate……

They both had a long trajectory on the musical jungle, Anders does so in powerful Nu jazz with Magnify, (if you like energy, check these gents out) and Ulrik, with another fresh project here http://www.attaboy.dk

This fine young man, highly recognize on the danish and international jazz scene, had come together to have fun and do what they love to do: Music!

These 'happening young jazz cats will perform in a new manner classics from the American song book, with original material. A real truly mix of old experiences make it new.

Morten Ankarfeldt is a active daily player on the jazz scene, he has being part of line ups togehter with Mads Kjølby, Camilla Dayanni and many others.Hæsum -out of constellations like Egill Buzz, Magnify, Pandora and Menzies does really not need credentials.

These guys will deliver power, improvisation, style and oldies.

En telefon som én smuk pige hører alt for sent og den evige, brændende og urolige passion.

Trio Tristeza er Jacob Gurevistchs romantiske, intense og virtuose guitarspil. En meget nærværende cocktail

af tårervædede italienske ballader, et dybt strejf af Buenos Aires -, lidt støv fra spaghetti westerns og så alligevel sit helt eget klassiske guitar-udtryk.

Her sammen med den svingende og delikate kontrabassist Bastian Sjelberg og den gennemmusikalske, præcise rytmiske nerve Jacob Andersen.

En aften hvor det måske ikke er en dårlig idé at have sit hvide lommetørklæde og en ekstra kugle til sin revolver med.

This trio is certainly one of my favorites tickets home, Buenos Aires. Listening them playing is an outstanding experience, since they are very well balanced when it goes on 'brutal southern passion' and Nordic precision. Imagine something like Denmark 4000 km down south, wouldnt be far better? Thats Trio Tristeza, great latin espirit served with nordic design! I love these guys!

De to saxofonister Sarah Elgeti og Marianne Markmann-Eriksen dannede i 2007 ”Sarah Elgeti Quintet”,der siden har begejstret publikum ved en lang række koncerter i ind-og udland.

Den tyskfødte saxofonist, Sarah Elgeti, der i 2008 modtog Holbæk Jazzpris har komponeret kvintettens repertoire, som er nutidig jazz , der forener det lyriske udtryk med det pågående og ekspressive. Tilsammen udgør numrene en meget personlig historie, der tager udgangspunkt i hendes opvækst i det tidligere Østtyskland. Rastløsheden der fulgte i kølvandet på de voldsomme omvæltninger i forbindelse med murens fald startede en Odysse der bl.a. førte hende til Tyrkiet og senere til Danmark.

De mange forskelligartede indtryk fra disse rejser, afspejler sig i Kvintettens stilistiske bredde : Fra smukke ballader over groovy latin til bebopinspirerede swingnumre tilsat et krydderi af skæve taktarter og Funk. Musikkens spændvidde understreges yderligere af de forskellige kombinationer af blæseinstrumenter, sopran, alt, tenor og barytonsax samt tværfløjte.
